October "Ready, Steady, Bake it!"
CALLING ALL BAKERS....this October we are asking supporters to book and arrange one day in the month to host a cake/ bake sale in order to raise vital funds for Memusi.
Do you have a captive audience...at work, school, social event, church who would love to enjoy some baked goods with all proceeds going to charity?

4 STEPS TO SUCCESS
1. Pick a day then reserve, arrange or book your sale at Work, School, Social Group, Church, Local Hotspot, etc.
Pick a suitable day / time to organise your bake sale on a day during October. Have a think about when your venue will be busiest ….you want to be sure to catch as many people as possible!
2. Ask friends, family & colleagues to help.
The more in terms of quantity and variety will help raise more funds. if there is too much wonderful choice you are more likely to get a sale and sometimes those who can’t choose will buy more than one.

Time to see the lovely public tucking into your goodies and the warm fuzzy feeling of knowing all your handwork has made an impact to the wonderful children at Memusi.

Bake It
Be as creative as you want, show off your talents and let people enjoy your yummy treats. Get friends and family to help you to bake and help on the day.
Fake It
Like baking but not got the time? You can get many different types of cake and cookie mix.
Not a baker? Let the good bakers of retail establishments do all the hard work for you…buy a multipack of cakes, buns or donuts and sell them.

The Fun Police Bit
There are no specific laws about bake sales but this page on the Food Standards Agency is a useful reminder about hygiene (under the schools cake sales question). As with any activity, you should carry out a risk assessment.
