FOUNDER MATTHEW IS RECOGNISED WITH 'POINTS OF LIGHT' AWARD

Huge congratulations to Matthew on his 'Points of Light' award received on Monday 13th March directly from No.10 and a personal letter from Mrs May. 

‘Points of Light’ are outstanding individual volunteers – people who are making a change in their community. Every week day the Prime Minister recognises an inspirational volunteer with the Daily Point of Light award.
Matthew said….. “One of those moments in life that you don't forget. I struggle massively with recognition, but it was really humbling to get a call whilst i was in Kenya to let me know that I was getting an award for 'Outstanding Services to Voluntary Work' in recognition of over a decade of work for MEMUSI from the UK Prime Minister Theresa May.”

”I didn't really know how to say it publicly or say at all that I had been recognised. But, I took this picture whilst in the Heads office of a school I visited which sort of says how I feel. There isn't anything special about me or anything I do. We can all look at problems and think they are other peoples to deal with. However, reality is that anyone can do something to make a difference to the lives of others and we should all try.”
